#7 What Now?
Platinum banged on the door in front of her, before quickly looking around. Platinum looked back at the door just as it swung open, and was face-to-face with a gun. Relief flooded over Platinum as the gun was lowered. "Get in here! Your not suppose to be alone with that psycho roaming around!" Dex hissed as he pulled Platinum inside and slammed the door. Platinum looked over and saw Vanquish on the couch, with his head hung low in shame. "He's been taking it really hard. especially since it was his turn to protect her." Dex said in a hush tone. Platinum knew exactly what he was talking about. Only two hours ago, Silver, Penn Vanni and Danni were murdered by the vicious Frost-ler. She had thought he was a kind hearted guy, when she had gotten sent through that portal. But he started to act strange when she started to talk about going home. Then he followed her back here and turned into a psycho serial-killer! Platinum sat down next to Vanquish and gave him a hug. He looked down at her and saw her eyes red from crying. He quietly looked around, then back at the usually cherry girl.
"Where's your brother?" Platinum's reassuring smile instantly faded and she broke down crying. Both Dex and Vanquish were a bit shocked by this. If mentioning Silver's name made Platinum break down in tears, something was VERY wrong. "Platinum? Where is he?" Dex asked. "I'm... I'm sorry. This must be very hard for you." Dex said with sadness in his voice. Platinum, who had finally calmed down, had explained what happened to her beloved brother. "He w-was the only person wh-who loved me f-for a r-really long t-time." She whispered. "Well, once we get rid of that monster, we can get him back, same with the others." Vanquish said with a sympathetic smile. Platinum smiled back, but it faded when Dillon crashed through the wall, landing on the floor in front of Platinum. "Dillybar!? What happened?" Platinum's eyes widened when she saw how her boyfriend was beaten and bruised. Platinum started to get scared as she felt the room getting colder. 'Oh no! Dillybar must be fighting Frost-ler!' Platinum was interrupted from her thoughts when Frost-ler and Dillon crashed through the wall, punching and kicking each other. Frost-ler created a knife made from ice and started to swing at Dillon, who easily dodged thanks to intangibility. Frost-ler glared at the Halfa. 'There's now way I can kill him! His powers are too great! But, everyone has a weakness.' Frost-ler quickly glanced at Platinum, who was trembling in the arms of Vanquish. "Well," Frost-ler said as he backed away. "Looks like your one person I can't kill."
"Your damn right!" Dillon snapped. He was about to say something else, but got distracted when he saw that his opponent was inching closer to his girlfriend 'What the hell is he up to?' Dillon gasped as he realized what was happening. Platinum screamed. Both from the cold touch of Frost-ler's skin, and the fear that enveloped her as she was yanked away from Vanquish's warm and comforting grasp. "PLATINUM!!" Both Dex and Vanquish yelled. Frost-ler laughed at the looks on the male's faces. Platinum though, was very unhappy about being pulled away from Vanquish. Her pure white eyes narrowed and she called up her metal form. Frost-ler's laughing stopped the moment the girl in his hands got VERY heavy. Her weight was too much for him to handle and the two fell to the floor, Platinum on top. Frost-ler was now gasping for air. Platinum's now platinum covered fist made contact with Frost-ler's face several times. She would have punched to horrid beast's face many more times, but Vanquish pulled Platinum off. He picked her up as if her weight never even changed. "Platinum please, let me and Dex handle this. Your much to young and sweet for this." Platinum nodded and changed back to her human form. She looked at Dillon with hurt. 'Why didn't he do anything to save me?' Dillon walked over to her and took her to the next room. "Look, I know this is the worst possible time to say this, but I can't do this any longer." He couldn't look Platinum in the eye, mostly because of all the pain he was about to put her through. He knew she didn't deserve was she was about to get. He knew just how much she loved him. Dillon was her favorite person, other that her brother. "I'm sorry, but I don't want... I don't want to be your boyfriend anymore."
"What?" Platinum felt her heart starting be break. No, not break. She could feel her heart shattering. Dillon was breaking up with her? No, he couldn't! He was the only person left in her life that she could go to. Platinum didn't even hear the scream that came from the room that Dex, Vanquish and Frost-ler were in. Dillon gave Platinum a hug, and kissed her cheek for that last time. "I'm sorry." He whispered. Vanquish walked into the room just as Dillon phased through the wall. "Platinum?" He asked. Platinum slowly turned to him. "Dillon's... Dillon's gone." Vanquish blinked, clearly confused. "Um, what do you mean?" Platinum didn't answer, she walked passed the adult and walked back into the room Dex and that monster were in. Platinum stopped when she was standing right in front of the snowy being. He was on the ground, with a large cut on his arm. She looked down into his bluish-white eyes. Her face was void of emotions. Dex looked at her, then at his brother, who was just as confused.Platinum made her way to the door, opening it, she looked over at Dex. "You have my permission to kill that piece of trash Dexy." Platinum hissed, glaring down at Frost-ler. And with that, Platinum slammed the door shut. Dex looked over at Vanquish again. "What now?" Vanquish let a smile crawl across his (beautiful) face. "Like Platinum said. Lets take out the trash." He looked down at Frost-ler, who had just realized what Vanquish had meant. The same smile appeared on Dex's face. "Lets do it!"
